Food Bank of the Rockies is the largest hunger-relief organization in the Rocky Mountain region. Volunteers will inspect, clean, sort, and repack perishable and non-perishable food items for distribution to Hunger Relief Partners. Volunteers can be 10 years old and up with an adult – 16 years old to volunteer without an adult. There will be two shifts: 8:45 AM to 12 PM and 1 PM to 4 PM. Project scope to include various aspects of cleaning. Tasks may include cleaning conference room windows and windowsills, wiping down conference room chairs, cleaning office doors and cubical windows, dusting, and vacuuming. Hope’s Promise strives to strengthen families through ethical, Christ-centered foster care, adoption, and global orphan care. Volunteers will make a lasagna and cookie dough and drop it off at Hope’s Promise at 11 AM sharp. These will be welcoming meals for when foster children are placed with a new foster family. Volunteers will assemble Food for Thought bags, pack dry goods boxes for the Mobile Market, repackage bulk items into smaller, single servings, and sort food donations. Volunteers must be 8 years old and must be accompanied by an adult. Closed-toe shoes are required. All volunteers must fill out a liability waiver.
